The Care Certificate

What is the Care Certificate?

The Care Certificate was developed by Health Education England, Skills for Care, and Skills for Health and is a highly recognised set of standards that health and care professionals uphold during their working day.  By completing the Care Certificate, you will be equipped with confidence, knowledge and skills that you can develop and grow throughout your career in adult social care.

The role of the Care Certificate during the induction process looks to enhance, and showcase, the role of a Care Worker in ensuring high quality care.  Today, for a large number of care providers, the Care Certificate is used as a staple quality marker in support of helping a care worker to access a clear career pathway, including access to a professional development framework and opening access to Apprenticeships and higher education diplomas and degrees.
