The Bungalow Care Home is a successful care home which was taken over by new and enthusiastic management a year ago.  We are looking for a compassionate carer to join our great team. This is a permanent position.

The Bungalow Care Home is located at 156 Park Road, Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE11 1QZ, we are a 28 bed residential care home specialising in Dementia Care. We are passionate about providing excellent person centred care to our residents and are looking for someone who is caring, empathetic, friendly, keen to learn and resident focused to join our team.

Job Overview:

Working Hours - 33 hours per week 

  • As a carer you will work within a close knit team to provide care in accordance with best practice, and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Manager/Deputy.
  • You will support and enable residents to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual
  • You will maintain skills at your current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress your knowledge
  • You will also attend mandatory training and staff meetings
  • You will be required to attend supervisions and annual appraisals 

Specific Duties:

  • Ensure Residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the service
  • Support Residents to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
  • Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support residents are followed
  • Responsible for informing the Manager or Deputy of any changes in the needs of residents
  • Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
  • Use resources economically and effectively and be respectful to your colleagues

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least one years experience working in the care sector
  • Good English - written and verbal
  • Leadership skills
